Head of Tax (f/m/d)

As our Head of Tax you will be responsible for the entire tax strategy, tax risk management and tax execution for the group.

The role:

  • You report up to the Group Chief Accounting Officer of the Group
  • You are the first point of contact for all tax matters within the Group and responsible for all tax types, in particular corporate, indirect and international taxes
  • You understand and assess the tax risk across the Group by working closing with tax colleagues in the various market units and report to the Group Audit Committee
  • You are responsible for transfer pricing across the Group and ensuring adherence to the relevant guidelines and advise the accounting teams
  • Responsible for processes for direct and indirect taxes and guidelines across the group
  • You support M&A projects and corporate structuring from a tax perspective
  • You support our national and international subsidiaries in local tax matters
  • You support tax accounting including calculating deferred taxes
  • You are the contact person for tax authorities and external tax advisors and you also accompany tax audits
  • You further develop our tax compliance system
  • You implement and optimise business processes in all tax matters on an ongoing basis

Your profile:

  • Bachelor/Master's degree, or similar, in economics, business administration or law with a focus on taxes
  • Ideally, 7-10+ years of experience in a complex and fast-growing organisation with professional experience in the field of taxation and accounting, ideally with a large company or in a tax consultancy / auditing company
  • Knowledge of setting up an efficient structure and reporting environment, as well as proven leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate, indirect and international tax
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and Swiss OR & Swiss taxation
  • Independent and structured way of working as well as team player
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills combined with a ‘hands on’ attitude and the ability to familiarise yourself with complex issues
  • You are highly motivated, focused on delivery
  • Fluent English; German and any other European language is a plus
