Location: Pune, India - Onsite

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for creating exceptional workspaces and experiences? Zendesk is seeking a Workplace Experience Manager to join our team in Pune, India. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Workplace Experience Manager for the APAC Region and will be responsible for shaping our new office space, ensuring it reflects our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and employee well-being. As a key member of our team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and lead initiatives that enhance the overall workplace experience.

What You’ll be Doing

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Pune office, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, safe, and aligned with Zendesk policies.

  • Oversee the curation and execution of an in office, employee experience and events program aligned with Zendesk standards and culture

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with our landlord and building management teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Lead local projects, including capital expenditure initiatives, ensuring they meet organizational requirements and timelines.

  • Act as a key liaison for regional business leaders, providing timely and relevant information to enhance internal customer engagement.

  • Actively participate in local site committee meetings and activities, to drive site culture and belonging.

  • Collaborate with the wider Workplace Experience team on global program development and facilities-related initiatives.

  • Partner with our Global Safety and Security team on employee health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Financial Oversight:

  • Assist in the development and management of the site’s operating expense and capital expenditure budget.

  • Regularly review vendor contracts to ensure compliance with pricing agreements, conducting competitive bidding as necessary.

  • Oversee the Request for Proposals (RFPs), vendor management, and governance processes.

  • Collaborate closely with finance partners to manage budget forecasts, accruals, and pipelines, ensuring financial accountability and transparency.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of office support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance and engagement.

Job requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. IFMA and/or CoreNet Global affiliations will be viewed favorably.

  • Skills and Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in facility management or workplace experience roles.

    • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

    • Leadership experience with a focus on team development and employee engagement.

    • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong project management, program management, and organizational skills, with a proven track record in implementing successful workplace initiatives.

    • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    • Strong understanding of modern workplace trends, workplace technology tools, and best practices.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
