Job Description

Accounting Analyst, Finance Shared Services (Manila)

This role will report to the Accounting Manager and help on the transition, stabilization and transformation of general accounting processes in Manila.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Month-end closing activities including but not limited to preparation of complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and financial reports and analysis.

  • Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts by verifying, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

  • Records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries and certifies balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Maintain and reconcile Global Fixed Asset accounts and FA module.

  • Maintain and reconcile Global Prepaid accounts and monthly/ quarterly close activities.

  • Assists in preparing and providing account analysis, fluxes for BS and P&L accounts and other reports

  • Maintains JEs, reports, reconciliations that adhere to company-established accounting and finance policies, processes and controls

  • Assists in internal and external audits by providing supporting records and documentation required.

  • Coordinates and communicates with various contacts (Operations/Finance/Others) related to journal entry and report dependencies.

  • Participates & supports continuous improvement initiatives by providing ideas/pain points/recommendations during data gathering.

  • Creates & updates Playbook for business continuity and on-boarding.

  • Handles other tasks delegated or assigned by Process Lead/ Manager.

  • Provide assistance in implementing policies and procedures to ensure financial transactions are being executed appropriately, and collaborates with other departments in terms of financial statement reviews.

  • Collaborate across the Finance Shared Services organization, including Global Accounting, Finance & Strategy, SEC Reporting, Engineering, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Workplace Experience and People Operations

  • Helps on the review current procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate close and reporting timelines; suggest and implement improvements to scale and automate manual procedures and computations.

  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by the Team Lead or Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA and experience in a SAAS company is an advantage.

  • With minimum 2 to 4 years General accounting in Finance Shared Services company preferred.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (VLooksUps, Pivot Tables, etc.) preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

  • Strong organization skills with high attention to details required.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multitasking skills, and flexibility to alternate from one project to the next quickly

  • Working experience in systems like Netsuite, Blackline, Coupa is a plus.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
