We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer with strong research skills to join our team. You will have a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI research projects, collaborate with experienced AI/ML engineers, and make a real impact on the world.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning and natural language processing, as well as experience with developing and maintaining production-grade AI systems.

In this position you will spend 70% of your time on engineering tasks and 30% of your time on research, therefore it’s important you have hands-on engineering experience.


  • Design and implement novel and scalable AI solutions for real business problems.

  • Own entire research projects end-to-end, from understanding business requirements to design, implementation, experimentation, and deployment.

  • Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers and product managers to ensure that AI solutions are aligned with business goals and meet user needs.

  • Write clear and concise technical documentation.

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in NLP and ML, exploring new ideas applicable to our specific business challenges.

  • Use suitable tools and technologies for rapid prototyping and testing to validate your ideas.


  • You have a Master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

  • You have practical experience in machine learning and NLP research, with a focus on deep learning architectures.

  • You have practical experience developing and maintaining machine learning services for real-world use cases at scale.

  • Your Python programming skills are robust and you can write maintainable, production ready code.

  • You prioritize good engineering practices and user-centric development, showing consideration for both your team and end-users.

  • You engage positively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, showcasing strong communication abilities.

  • You are proactive and know how to ask for help when you need it, continuously seeking to improve both your technical and non-technical skills.

Additional skills that are not essential, but desirable:

  • You have experience with conversational AI and LLM-driven applications, in particular hands-on experience working with GPT models or equivalent open-source variants

  • You have experience with container orchestration technologies (eg. Kubernetes), NoSQL data storage technologies (eg. MongoDB, Elasticsearch), cloud technologies (eg. GCP) or equivalents

  • You have experience with open source machine learning libraries
