A bit about the role…

Are you ready to take your financial career to the next level? We are looking for an energetic and driven Senior Financial Analyst to become an integral part of our dynamic finance team. This exciting role is perfect for someone with a strong accounting foundation, ideally from a Big 4 firm, who has successfully moved into a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role. You will play a key part in driving our financial performance by owning month-end reporting, leading forecasting efforts, providing valuable insights for senior leadership, enhancing our financial systems, and ensuring robust internal controls. WHO YOU ARE:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, relevant certification (CPA) is preferred.

  • You have 4+ years’ experience in accounting.

  • You have high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including data analysis, financial modeling, and complex formulas.

  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • You have a strong understanding of IFRS and auditing standards.

  • You have strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • You have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

  • You have a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

  • Experience with NetSuite, this is a STRONG asset.

  • Experience in the SaaS industry is an asset.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

  • Be eligible to work in Canada;

  • Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Month-End Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Internal Controls

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate month-end close processes and meet deadlines.

  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the control environment and mitigate risks.

Management Reporting and Finance Business Partnering

  • Develop and deliver data-driven reports and insights for senior leadership and board presentations.

  • Prepare financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide strategic insights.

  • Serve as a financial consultant to department heads, offering support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial accountability and drive informed decision-making.

Enhancing Reporting Systems

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes and tools.

  • Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Special Projects

  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc financial analyses and strategic projects as needed.

  • Support the implementation of new policies, procedures, and systems to align with company goals.
