We’re looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team, be part of the action in supporting Joyn’s vision, and delight our customers. Our team manages and supports the submission and endorsement processing, producer onboarding, billing, tax filing and policy reporting, service-oriented vendor management, and general customer service for the organization. Our Operations Team is at the heart of every operational action at Joyn!

Role title: Operations Specialist

Responsibilities you’ll have

• Use Joyn’s state-of-the-art technology to assist in processing new business submissions, endorsements, and renewal transactions
• Facilitate communication with brokers
• Manage, support, and enhance both the process and supporting technology of onboarding new brokerage partners and preparing them to write business with Joyn and get a one-of-a-kind insurance experience
• Support User Acceptance Testing efforts on new technology enhancements, features, and overall functionality
• Provide support to Joyn’s internal and external customers for all supported functions; submissions, policy servicing, renewals, producer onboarding, billing, tax filing and reporting
• Support Joyn’s Product and Underwriting teams to continually improve ease of business both internally and externally by enhancing our systems and processes
• Provide structured and analytical feedback based on insights gathered and observations made
• Support the organization in managing vendors that support Joyn’s operations and contribute to our value proposition
• Help bring Joyn’s vision to life, making the commercial insurance process a joyful one!

Experience we’re looking for

• 2+ years of experience in an Operations Analyst/Associate (or similar) role, preferably in the financial services or technology
• A track record of successfully working on cross-functional projects that were focused on process improvement, technology enhancements, or initiatives that improved the customer experience.
• Experience using data and visual tools to identify, surface, and solve operational problems
• A desire to adopt and use technology to replace outdated approaches while supporting Joyn’s strong compliance philosophies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starter who isn’t afraid to identify and raise both problems and solutions
• A “generalist” mindset – you aren’t afraid of tackling new challenges that come up as Joyn continues to grow and expand its product offering and geographical footprint
• A positive, collaborative, high energy approach to working with others who love the business and want to transform it to be even better.
• Experience with exposure to the producer onboarding/appointment, billing, and policy servicing processes a plus
• Experience working at a fast paced start up is a plus
