As a Growth Engineer at H5P, you will play a crucial role in driving user adoption, improving virality, and optimizing our sales funnel and conversion rates. You will work closely with the marketing team to experiment with new strategies and enhance our product features to support our Product-Led Growth (PLG) motion. Your technical expertise will be key in integrating and optimizing our existing systems, including our website, Stripe for payments, Copper for CRM, Mailchimp for email automation, and Zapier for other forms of automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute growth experiments aimed at increasing user adoption and engagement.
  • Develop and implement referral, sharing, and viral loop features to enhance product virality.
  • Optimize the user journey and sales funnel to improve conversion rates.
  • Integrate and automate workflows across our existing systems (H5P.com, Stripe, Copper, Mailchimp, Zapier).
  • Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and measure the impact of growth initiatives.
  • Work with the product team to prioritize and implement features that drive growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in growth engineering and PLG strategies.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or an equivalent of experience/training in a relevant industry to ours
  • Demonstrated success in growth engineering or a similar role, ideally in a PLG environment. Experience working in partnership with other growth roles, and/or go-to-market teams.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in web development, automation tools, and data analysis.
  • Proficient in basic web development technologies like JavaScript, CSS, and HTML (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • Experience working with integrations like Stripe, Copper, Mailchimp, Zapier, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to design and execute growth experiments; strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience with PHP, preferably Laravel
  • Experience developing accessible and responsive solutions.
  • Experience with peer reviewing and values the importance of doing this.
  • Willingness to take ownership and drive a variety of large and small projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluency in English.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate permanently to Tromsø or Oslo (Norway); potential travel between offices for onboarding and workshops.

  • Experience with Node, WebSockets, and AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience working with React.
  • Prior experience with SEO.
  • Prior experience working for Ed-tech companies.
