We are searching for our next Director of Product Management, someone with a proven track record in driving high-level product roadmaps, balancing strategic priorities with customer needs and business impact. The role will be leading our Product Team working with talented designers and product managers to create great user experiences. Collaborating closely with our talented development team, you will bring the product vision to life through clear and concise issue descriptions, agile backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and seamless cooperation with design, QA, and developers. The team you will be joining consists of passionate, talented, and creative people looking to revolutionize the way rich content like videos, games, and simulations are created and experienced in the future.
To effectively prioritize and create actionable issues, you will gather insights through interviews, surveys, market research, and collaboration with stakeholders. Success in this role requires curiosity, quick learning, and the ability to apply new technologies and insights to address customer challenges. Creativity and an innovative mindset, combined with a data-driven approach, are essential for delivering impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Strategy: Define a long-term product vision, aligning strategies with business goals and market trends.
- Roadmap Ownership: Oversee and communicate product roadmap, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term strategic objectives. Ensure products meet customer needs and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Market Analysis and Positioning: Conduct or oversee research on market trends, user feedback, and competitors to sustain a competitive edge. Refine value propositions, understand buyer personas, and represent the product at key events.
- Execution Oversight: Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation to sunset. Make pivotal decisions, monitor KPIs, and utilize data insights to refine strategies. Identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Operational Leadership: Lead the product team with a focus on collaboration and innovation. Resolve challenges, allocate resources strategically, and ensure cross-functional alignment to drive maximum impact.
- Participate in H5P’s management team: Help set and achieve the goals and objectives for the entire H5P Team.
We are ideally looking for someone that possesses the following experience and skillset:
- A proven track record in driving high-level product roadmaps balancing strategic priorities with customer needs and business impact. Preferably over 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- MBA and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields of study.
- Experience managing the full product lifecycle.
- Strong cross discipline collaborative skills.
- Strong ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams, fostering innovation and collaboration across functions.
- Skilled in presenting strategic roadmaps, performance outcomes, and market analyses. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Someone strong on vision and strategy with the ability to define and implement product strategies aligned with business goals, market opportunities, and long-term growth objectives.
- Preferably someone with a deep understanding of market dynamics within education and technology.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed assigned targets, budgets and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
