Summary:

As a Business Analyst Co-op on the Product Planning team, you’ll be working with a small and tight team of cross-functional Product champions who are laser focused on creating efficiency and scale across our Product and Technology organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with many team members and gain exposure to various disciplines with hands-on report and dashboard creation, identifying opportunities through insights gained while leveraging data analysis and business intelligence tools.

We are looking for business and technically minded individuals to help create and improve how data informs our decision making within the Product Development Lifecycle. How Will I Make a Difference?:

Roadmap Planning and Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) Support

  • Support building and iterating on an efficient product planning process that builds an achievable and measurable product roadmap holding teams accountable for delivery;
  • Help product teams be successful in how they communicate and use data, research findings, vision & strategy in roadmap planning;
  • Partner closely with product, services and technology teams to identify areas of friction in the product lifecycle.

Dashboard and Report Creation

  • Leverage data analysis and business intelligence tooling (Tableau, PowerBI);
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes across the Product Management and Software Development Lifecycles, such as product planning, product discovery, GTM, product metrics, end-of-life, etc., and help to develop strategies for future improvements;
  • Help to create bridges between Business Intelligence and Product Management, Services, Support and other teams to leverage data to measure product success, experiments, research and customer engagement;
  • Analyze product performance to ensure traceability from market-need through design, development, delivery, and adoption of products;
  • Champion leveraging data to inform decision making at all stages in the product lifecycle.

Reporting and Metrics

  • Leverage tools to pull relevant and helpful data for decision making;
  • Build out reports and dashboards to be used by the Product Planning team & leadership;
  • Suggest improvements and optimization to existing tactics to improve overall performance.

  • Exceptional organizational skills including multi-tasking and time management.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly, think fast under pressure, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with learning new technology systems quickly with experience using ETLs and building dashboards in business intelligence tools
  • Creative mindset and stamina to try new things and figure out how to continuously improve
  • Experience with collaborating with diverse teams to achieve a common goal and/or deliverable

The expected weekly salary range for a student hire in this role is listed below. The base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and school specific salary surveys.

Weekly Salary Range
$710$915 CAD
