Birdie
🐦 About birdie
Birdie is the leading home healthcare technology platform that aims to radically transform the lives of older adults. Its all-in-one solution supports millions of care visits every month, equipping care providers with the tools they need to deliver better quality care and improve efficiency across most day-to-day operations. Birdie is proud to be recognised as a B-corp.
Launched in 2017, Birdie is a team of socially motivated care, health, product and tech entrepreneurs. As of June 2022 we closed our series B funding with £25m invested by Index Ventures, Sofina & Omers. In 2023 we were named 6th in Deloitte fast 50 celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship in Tech.
⚡️Your mission:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People Lead to manage innovation and projects across the People function. You will be the right hand to our Head of People who leads a strategic, data driven and product focussed team.
Your primary objective will be to harness data in order to support and partner with managers to ensure the business meets its primary objectives quarter-on-quarter. This will mean overseeing performance management, EDI and employee engagement efforts which form key aspects of our culture. You will lead on projects contributing to our employer brand, process improvements and implementing proactive data sharing with our managers and leaders.
This role requires an accomplished data-driven business partner with a passion for tech startups and a “roll up your sleeves” approach to solving complex problems. It is not a traditional HRBP role but offers significant opportunities for a data-led generalist who operates with attention to detail and precision in project delivery.
🦸♀️ How you will contribute
Data-Driven Approach: Apply data and analytics to track performance and engagement metrics to develop proactive strategies for continuous improvement. You’ll lead on people data initiatives that provide managers with insights across our engagement and review results. You’ll know how to interpret data from multiple sources rather than relying purely on tooling to aggregate.
Partnership: You’ll build relationships with data insights at the heart, knowing when insights are valuable, and when they aren’t in order to iterate on foundational practices where there is room for improvement.
Successfully deliver and execute on Birdie’s people strategy in collaboration with the wider People Team
Operational efficiency & process improvement: Review, improve and even disrupt the teams’ internal processes to enhance people experience.
-
Diversity and Inclusion: Lead diversity initiatives to build an inclusive workforce that reflects Birdie’s principles.
🤩 You will bring:
At least 2 years of using, analysing and interpreting data to build People programmes and enhance partnership relationships
A successful & proven track record leading of partnering with stakeholders.
You have excellent coaching skills and create a curious, learning focused culture - enabling all Birdies to reach their full potential.
Succinct communication skills with a focus on optimising for simplicity
Ability to influence, inspire change and negotiate at all levels while building trust
Skills in optimising processes and implementing industry best practices
Experience in building and promoting employer brand
Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.
Working knowledge of People as a product and working in an agile way to drive incremental gains
A solid working knowledge of HR tech (we use Humaans, Lattice and Remote) and how to integrate for optimal efficiencies
Low ego and an ability to thrive in ambiguity or with a number of variables.
