The Opportunity at Altana
As we continue to scale our business targeting enterprise clients, we are seeking a dynamic and early-career Sales Engineer to join our team in-person, in our offices in Brooklyn, NY.
As a Sales Engineer at Altana Technologies, you'll be at the forefront of our sales initiatives, playing a crucial role in translating technical jargon into practical value for our clients and partners. This role requires a perfect blend of technical acumen and interpersonal skills, as you will present our innovative solutions to various audiences, ranging from technical contributors to executives.
You'll work closely with our Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure that our solutions align with customer needs and market trends. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and marketing strategies.
This position reports directly to the Enterprise Sales Engineering manager and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growing business.
You Will
- Conduct technical presentations of Altana’s solutions and future vision to executives and IT leaders at prospective customers.
- Develop, build and perform live and compelling demonstrations of our products
- Provide pre-sales technical support and guidance, addressing customer inquiries, conducting product training, and resolving any technical issues.
- Develop and deliver high-quality proposals, technical documentation, and other sales-related materials to assist in the sales process.
- Assist in post-sales activities as needed to ensure smooth customer onboarding and successful implementation of our solutions.
You Have
- A university degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a customer facing role, preferably in a presales capacity, in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Python (intermediate level).
- Experience and knowledge of networking and APIs.
- Experience with intelligence, business intelligence (BI) tools, Salesforce, Slack, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
- The ability to correlate a customer's specific business problem with Altana Technologies’ solutions.
- A passion for tackling complex global trade, supply chain, compliance and risk challenges.
- Proximity to or the ability to commute to our Williamsburg hub in Brooklyn, NY at least 4 days a week.
- The ability to travel when needed to meet customers on-site throughout the United States.
This role is based in Brooklyn with hybrid work flexibility.
